Hoosier Update

Josanne and I missed being with you all at NDMC yesterday, but we enjoyed spending some time with family. We hope that all of you had time to spend with loved ones as well. We prayed for you all and you were on our minds. Our hope is that yesterday was a blessing. I’m grateful to Paul Walles for bringing the adult Sunday School lesson and the sermon yesterday. Thanks to everyone else who stepped in to allow us a little time away.

I gathered with the believers at Post Road Christian Church in Indianapolis. I really enjoyed being led in worship by my nephew, Aaron. He’s been the worship minister at Post Road for over nine years, and this was the first time I was able to attend there. My Dad, sister, brother, and sister-in-law were all there as well, so afterwards I went to lunch with the family. Josanne spent some time with her Mom, and to do some yard work and to plant some flowers.

Next week we will continue look at the life of Elijah in the worship service by looking at 1 Kings 18. Particularly we’ll be thinking about what it means to be a “troubler.” You’ll continue to be in my prayers this week. Hope to see you next Sunday!
