Christmas Cantata 2017

Yesterday was a great day as we continued our celebration of the Advent season. The choir presented the cantata “His Name is Jesus” along with the youth choir. There was a good crowd, and the atmosphere was very uplifting. We want to say a big “Thank You!” to all of those who made this day a success. Thank you to Betty Zook for directing the choir, and helping to put the whole program together. Thank you to Mollie Marvel and Diana Boschulte for their work with the youth choir. Thanks to Janel Metzger for her great leadership of the chime choir. And of course, thank you to all of those who participated in the choirs. Thanks to our narrators, Quincy Boschulte and AJ Reeser.

We are certainly blessed at North Danvers both with those who have musical talent and who are willing to give of their time to prepare such a meaningful service. Morgan Buatte did a wonderful job with the prelude along with her piano teacher, Louise Bowen. Louise was telling me that Morgan said she wanted to take lessons so she can play in church. That’s a great lesson for all of us, right? We should all have that kind of desire to use our skills and gifts in order to bless the congregation and to honor of God. There are so many ways that you can be involved here, I encourage you to look for ways you can be involved. Talk to our ministry team leaders, or come and talk to me and I’d be happy to help you find ways to use your gifts.

Remember that there will be no Sunday School this coming Sunday, December 24th. Instead our worship service will begin at 9am with a fellowship time following.

I’m praying for you all as you celebrate this season. I hope it’s a time of joy with family and friends. Even if there are difficulties taking place in your life, remember that Jesus came so that God would be with us in the midst of lives as good or as messy as they may be. Place your trust in God, and seek his presence.

God bless you all,

Brian
