Last night we had a good turn-out for our second annual Uno tournament. Thanks to all who came out for a time of food, fellowship, and fun. Thanks also to all of those who participated in getting ready or running the tournament. It was a really competitive tournament, but when the dust settled Craig Marvel was our big trophy winner! We also got to spend some time together and got to know one another a bit better.
It was also a blessing yesterday morning during our worship service to welcome four new members to our fellowship. We are so glad that John Malcolm and Cala Laible, and Tim and Amy Reeser have become members of NDMC. Make sure you take some time to welcome them. If you are interested in becoming a member, the first step is to talk to me or to one of our leaders. We’d be happy to talk with you about what it means to be a member, and the steps toward membership.
DON’T FORGET that THIS SUNDAY is our last Sunday potluck. Your preacher forgot to announce it in last week’s bulletin, so please pass the word and make sure everyone is aware that we will be having our regular last Sunday potluck dinner. We are looking forward to the time of fellowship together.
As a closing thought, in this world where we see so much brokenness and pain expressed in so many ways, let’s take the time to be “salt and light” in the world. Be kind to someone. Reach out to someone who is lonely. Do something special for someone who is not expecting it. Show the love that Christ has shown you to someone else. We get so caught up in the news about the darkness that we can forget the only antidote to the darkness is allowing the light of Christ to shine through us, his people.
I love you all. God bless,
