Fall Activities

So hard to believe today is October 1st! Am I the only one surprised to find October here already? Continue to pray for the safety of our farmers. The harvest continues to proceed quickly. As we watch the grain being carried and stored, it’s a reminder of the way that God cares for us and provides for all of our needs.

There are lots of activities coming up. Make sure to mark your calendars so you don’t miss anything!

Remember that we have a busy Sunday coming up at NDMC. During the Sunday School hour at 9 am, Elizabeth Miller (Imogene’s granddaughter) and her husband, Neil Richer, will be presenting on their mission work in Bogota, Colombia. This should be an interesting and helpful presentation that you won’t want to miss.

During worship hour at 10:10 am we will be celebrating the Lord’s Supper. This is World Communion Sunday so many congregations all around the world will be participation in communion on this day.

At 5 pm we will be having an All-Church Weiner Roast at Jim and Deb Hubbard’s house. Bring a dish to pass, your lawn chairs, and you fishing rods, too!

In two weeks, during Sunday School (9 am) Jed Metzger is going to be talking about some of the ways that we can give which take full advantage of the tax laws. This should be helpful instruction. Additionally, he will have some time for questions and answers.

Though the weather is warming back up a bit, I hope you are enjoying some of the taste of Fall. Hope to see you Sunday!

God bless,

Brian
