A Great Day
It was so nice to see the sun and have a bit of warmth yesterday, even though it was short-lived. I just had to get out the grill for the first time this year for supper. I hope you were able to enjoy some time outside.
The weather wasn’t the main reason yesterday was a great day, though. I thought yesterday’s worship service was especially encouraging. The music was uplifting. Thanks to all of those who worked to bring that about. Being able to participate in Reese, Lexi, Cole, and Natalie’s baptism was just the perfect way to end the service. We then had a nice potluck afterwards, complete with cake to celebrate the Douglas’ baptisms. What a great day!
A reminder that I’ll be out of town for a learning retreat this week. This is the first time in three years or so since I’ve had any continuing education, so if you think of it, pray that it will be a time of growth for me. Stepping out of my normal routine allows me to concentrate for a while on my spiritual life.
They say that March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb. I certainly hope that’s true. I’m in need of some extended good weather, and I’m sure you are as well.
God bless,
Brian
