Kickoff Sunday

School has started again. Today is Labor Day. There have been some evenings with a chill in the air. The corn and beans are beginning to turn. Pumpkin Spice is coming back to menus. All the signs are that Summer has drawn to a close and Autumn is quickly on its way. This means it’s time for our Sunday School program to begin for the Fall, and for our normal schedule to resume!
Beginning this coming Sunday, September 11th, we will be having Sunday School at 9am and our Morning Worship service will be at 10:10am. I’ve been encouraging you over the last several months to think about who to invite for Kickoff Sunday, so if you haven’t made the invitation, now is the time! My prayer is that our worship and Sunday School classes will draw us closer to God.
Yesterday we began our series on Nehemiah which I’m calling Vision: Beginning to End. You don’t want to miss next week’s sermon which is entitled: The Courage to Begin. We will also have the young people in Sunday School come in at the beginning of the service to be introduced along with their teachers. There will be a noisy offering taken for God’s Little Acre Preschool, so be sure to bring your change! There will also be special music. This should be a great Sunday.
Teachers are preparing Sunday School lessons for all ages. There is some new curriculum in the youth classes, and the adult Sunday School will be looking at Paul’s letter to the Romans this Fall. Spending time together studying God’s Word is so important for our lives.
God bless, Brian
