Back from the CDC

Last week Darvin Miller and I traveled to Goshen, Indiana for the Central District Conference Annual Meeting. We were able to see some familiar faces as well as meet some new people. We plan to have a session in the near future where we will discuss what took place at the meeting.

On Thursday evening there was a Pastor Appreciation Dinner at the CDC Annual Meeting. This year because of a donation from Everance retired pastors were invited to participate. Elmer and Winifred Walls, who ministered to North Danvers from 1971-1984, made a point of coming to talk to me and ask how the people of North Danvers were doing. There were very pleased to hear about many of you and the congregation as a whole.

We have several summer events that are coming up quickly. Vacation Bible School is this week at the First Presbyterian Church in Danvers. The band concerts will begin next Sunday, and NDMC will be responsible for the ice cream social on July 8th! Be sure to sign up in the Fellowship Hall if you can help!

This Saturday (June 30th) at 7pm the AWW youth group will be presenting about their mission trip. You won’t want to miss hearing what they have to say.
