Cold, Snowy Weekend

We certainly had a cold, snowy weekend with more cold temperatures predicted to be on the way. We’re so glad to be able to have the livestreamed service available for those who didn’t want to get out in the weather. With the blowing snow, it was wise for those who couldn’t be out in it to watch from home.
Do you want some good news? Only 53 days until the first day of Spring! And surely we’ll get above freezing before then. Won’t we?
We do want to say a big thank you to those who came and cleared the snow—both yesterday and also on Friday. It’s another example of those whose contribution to North Danvers is so necessary, but who are often working behind the scenes.
Be in prayer for those areas of the country that were more affected by the storm than we were here. I’ve seen some pictures from Kentucky and Tennessee that look really bad. Lots of tree limbs are down and people are without power.
Yesterday we look at Matthew 5—the first part of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Next week we will look at Matthew 6. I encourage you to read these Scriptures. There is so much wisdom in Jesus’ words. They become so familiar to us, that sometimes we don’t think about them. They sort of go in one ear and out the other, as the saying goes. Spend some time thinking about what Jesus said this week.
Check through the rest of this E-Gram to see the events that are upcoming.
God bless, Brian
