Fall is in the Air

Autumn is my favorite season. I love it when the leaves change color—especially when they stick around long enough to enjoy. I love the crispness of a cool evenings, and I like sitting around a fire to keep warm. Today is the first day of Autumn, and we had just a taste of it this weekend, though I think it’s supposed to warm up a bit for the rest of the week.

I’m looking forward to this Autumn especially, because I’ll be able to spend some time with Josanne. We really have not been able to spend a couple of months together since her Mother got sick in February 2019. While I love North Danvers and all of you, I’m also looking forward to some time to step away from those weekly responsibilities in order to concentrate on instilling some healthier habits in my life. I want to improve both my physical and spiritual habits.

I think Doug Hicks will do a great job in my absence. I’m thankful for his willingness to make this sabbatical time for a me a reality. Doug came to our coffee time last Friday, and he already found several connections with some of our people. Look for the Thursday E-Bulletin, because you’ll be able to read a bit a bit more about him and his wife there.

I believe the time I’ll be gone will pass quickly. It’s bit a strange years in many way, but it’s hard to believe that we are just a little more than a week away from October 1st. I pray that God will bless each of you, and NDMC as a whole during this time. Thanks for all of you who’ve been encouraging to me about taking this time away.

God bless, Brian
