Summertime

Summer is in full swing. The temps have been up. The Danvers’ Band Concerts have started. People are taking vacations. This Friday is the Fourth of July! Are you planning something special?

Yesterday during worship time we saw in David an example of what can happen during times of trouble in our lives. David had loyal friends who stuck beside him no matter what. He also had people speaking discouraging words. David continued to trust God even in the lowest of lows. The psalmist said:

“God is our refuge and strength an ever-present help in trouble,” (Psalm 46:1, NIV)

It’s good to know that God is always there when we need help.

Remember that in two weeks North Danvers will be providing the ice cream social for the band concert. There is still a sign-up sheet for donations and for helping out. There’s also a sign-up sheet for our worship service at Funk’s Grove on August 10th. Make sure to let us know if you’ll be there so we know how many to plan for.

It’s a good time to invite your friends and neighbors to come along to one of our special services or to our regular worship service. Remember also our Friday coffee time from 8:30am until whenever. Wednesday Coffee and Devotions will resume on July 9th.
