The Harvest is Plentiful

In our Scripture for yesterday, Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field,” (Luke 10:2, NIV). The physical harvest will be here before you know it, but Jesus tells us that the spiritual harvest is already here. He said to his disciples, “Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest,” (John 4:35, NIV). I would like you to join me in praying that God opens our eyes to the people around us who need a relationship with Jesus and who need a caring community surrounding them.

I encourage you to think about the people around you and find one or two that you can encourage to come along with you to worship services. “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.”

Next week (September 3rd) our worship service will begin at 10am one more time, then September 10th, Sunday School will resume at 9am, with our worship service at 10:10am followed by a time of fellowship. We have several things happening this Fall. I think you’ll want to be involved!

Hope to see you Sunday!

God bless, Brian
