Palm Sunday worship yesterday was a great way to start off Holy Week. The decorations looked wonderful. Hearing again the story of Jesus riding into Jerusalem as a king is a good reminder that he came to rule the nations. As Zechariah prophesied:
He will proclaim peace to the nations.
His rule will extend from sea to sea
and from the River to the ends of the earth. (Zechariah 9:10, NIV)
As his disciples, we have the task of carrying with us the message that Jesus is proclaiming his peace.
We have several other events coming up this week to remember. We will be having our Maundy Thursday service at 7pm. This service will be held in the sanctuary and it will include sharing in Communion. Next Sunday we’ll have a Sunrise Service at 8:30am followed by a breakfast with our Easter Morning worship service at 10:10am. We’ll be sharing in Communion at our Easter Morning service as well.
I hope to see many of you this week!
May this season draw us all closer to God through his Son, Jesus.
God bless,
Brian
