Quick Note...

Just a quick note from Josanne and me. We are enjoying some time with Josanne’s family in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. It’s been a relaxing time so far. We are thinking of you and praying for you as we are apart. Thanks for the kind words to us.

Next week’s sermon is taking from Psalm 126 as we continue through the Songs of Ascent. The phrase that has captured my imagination as I prepared for this sermon was the first verse:

When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion,

we were like those who dreamed. (Psalms 126:1, NIV)

Dreaming speaks about hope for the future. We talk about our hopes and dreams. Being like those who dream means that we believe there are good days ahead. Our God is big enough and strong enough to empower his people to accomplish whatever he wants them to accomplish. I do believe he is looking for a people who are willing to be used by him.

I hope all goes well as we are gone. We’ll see you Sunday after next.
