Some Time Off

I wanted to just write a short note this morning to remind you that Josanne and I are taking some time off this week. We’ll be back by next weekend, but will be out of town Monday through Friday. We’d appreciate prayers for safe travels, if you think of it. Also a reminder that Friday Coffee is canceled due to the GLAPS grandparents breakfast this coming Friday morning.

Next week we’ll begin a series of sermon on the book of Isaiah. I’d encourage you to read Isaiah 1 and 2, this week. Prophetic language is full of powerful images, and these chapters are good examples of that. There’s a strong contrast between the rebellion of Isaiah 1 and the punishment that comes as a result, and the promise of restoration in Isaiah 2. God continues to be faithful, even when we are not.

There are several in need of our prayers this week, so let’s continue to be faithful in lifting one another up. I’m thankful to be a part of a church community that believes in the power of prayer.

God bless,

Brian
