Stormy Weather

We certainly needed the rain, but especially in Bloomington, there was a bit of an excess that came too quickly. There are lots of reports of people with flooded basements. There were lots of stranded motorist that had to be towed. Even I-55 was closed for a while.

It seems there was a lightning strike at or near the Church building during the storm as well. It meant that we had to do without the projectors during the worship service yesterday, but it doesn’t seem that there is any lasting damage. The copier is already back up, and the projectors will hopefully be working next Sunday.

Hopefully we won’t have stormy weather for the Danvers Band Concerts! North Danvers is responsible for the food on July 18th. There are sign-up sheets in the Fellowship Hall for pies, cakes, sodas, and of course, people to work! Make sure you check it out to see how you can help.

God bless, Brian

Scriptures for next Sunday

1 Corinthians 5—Why do you think people were boasting about the sin that Paul mentions? Leviticus 16:20-28—What do you think is the symbolism of the “scape goat”? Zechariah 3—What is being prophesied in this passage? Matthew 12:22-37—What does Jesus teach about the nature of sin here?
