April Snow Showers
If April showers bring May flowers, what do April snow showers bring? My answer is unhappiness. If April showers bring May flowers, what do May flowers bring? The pilgrims, of course.
It was a busy weekend, but all of the services were well-attended and it was good to celebrate this meaningful season together. Thank you to all of those who took part in planning and leading the Maundy Thursday service, the Sunrise service, the breakfast, and the Easter morning service. It took a lot of planning and a lot of work to make everything so nice. The music was beautiful and moving. The food was fantastic. The church building was decorated beautiful. It was a fitting way to remember Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. Thank you to all!
I will be preaching this coming Sunday, I had planned on taking the whole week off, but it is getting harder and harder to find people to fill the pulpit while I am gone. Josanne and I will be leaving a week from today for a week off, so I will not be in the office from April 25-29.
As I said in the sermon yesterday, it’s so important for us to share the good news of Jesus’ resurrection, especially in this time when so much seems to be discouraging. Let’s remember to live in light of the hope of Jesus’ resurrection and to be intentional about sharing that good news with others.
God bless,
Brian
