It was good to see the crowd in our worship service yesterday. The special music, the singing, the candle lighting, the decorations—everything worked together to make it a really special service. Thanks to all who participated.
With Wednesday being Christmas Eve and Thursday being Christmas Day, we begin our celebration of the birth of Jesus. We will not be holding a Christmas Eve service at North Danvers, but the Presbyterian Church has extended an invitation to theirs. We will continue our celebration of Jesus’ birth through the next two Sunday mornings as we look at Matthew 1 and 2.
I hope you are able to find both some time for joyous gatherings, but also some time for quiet reflection in the days and weeks to come. It’s a special time of the year as we think about God’s light, Jesus, coming to live in our midst. The love that he has shown for us in Jesus, we can in turn show to others.
Speaking of which, Josanne and I want to say thank you so much for the love offering you presented us yesterday. It was very generous and reminds us of how you value our presence here at North Danvers.
For those who’ll be traveling this week, week travels. we pray for safe travels
God bless and may you have a joyous Christmas season, Brian
