March Madness

By the title you may think I’m talking about basketball, but I’m actually thinking about this weather! Warmth, strong winds, thunderstorms, colder, and snow—the first week of March has been quite a ride. The first day of March made me think that March was coming in like a lamb this year, but now I’m thinking it’s much more like a lion. The good news it’s getting light earlier in the morning, and the sun is going down later in the evening, so it can’t be too long until warmer weather is here.

Of course I do like to watch a little basketball this time of year as well. Congratulations to the fans of the Illini men’s basketball team for taking a share of this year’s Big 10 title. Should be a good tournament this year.

March is also a busy time of the year as we gear up for the events surrounding the Mennonite Relief Sale. You’ll see announcements in this E-Gram regarding pie day, a bake sale, and the online auction. This Friday at coffee time we’d love to see a few extra people to help us fold the pie boxes.

In the midst of all of this, our minds continue to be on the situation in Eastern Europe. I would encourage you to continue to pray for those whose lives are in danger as well as for those who are being displaced. We continue to pray for peace.

I continue to pray for all of you as well.

God bless,

Brian
