Some Mid-August Reminders

Remember that next week is our community service that’s a part of Danvers Days. We’ll be meeting with the Presbyterian Church at 9am at the park in Danvers. Bring your lawn chair, and join us! We are also planning to live-stream the service for those who participate in that way. The Forged for Christ youth group is planning to serve breakfast afterwards, so plan to stick around.
We’re also just a few weeks away from our Fall Kickoff on September 12th. We’ll be moving back to our normal 10:10am time for our worship service and we are planning to have Sunday School at 9am. That first Sunday the young people will be filling school bags during the service as well!
I would encourage you to continue to pray for Haiti and those who are affected by both the political unrest and the earthquake there. Also the news out of Afghanistan is concerning—especially for the Church there. Pray for safety and peace in that nation.
It occurs to me that the things we complain about and the things we take for granted are put into perspective when we think about those who are dealing with issues such as those.
We’re also praying for the young people and the teachers and administrators as they are heading back to school.
I continue to pray for all of you, too. May God bless North Danvers.
God bless you all,
Brian
