As I talk to the farmers, it seems like most of the planting is done with just a little bit that remains. Now we pray for some rain and a great growing season. We have several changes taking place in our normal worship times over the next few weeks, so I want to use this space to go over them and make sure we are all on the same page.
Next Sunday is our annual community Pentecost service. We will be gathering at Carlock Mennonite Church at 10:15pm with other local congregations. Pentecost has been called “the Birthday of the Church,” so it is good for us to gather with other believers and remember those things we hold dear in common. I hope to see you at Carlock Mennonite on Sunday!
On Sunday May 27th, we’ll be honoring our graduates with a reception after our worship service. We will NOT be having a last Sunday potluck on that day, so that we can focus on this cake and punch reception. There will be a basket for cards for the graduates, who are listed elsewhere in this e-gram.
Remember that on June 3rd we will be switching to our Summer schedule. This means that we will have our worship service at 9am and no Sunday School for the months of June, July, and August.
Also, VBS is coming up quickly. It will be held June 25th-29th. There are opportunities if you’d like to volunteer. For more details, see the full announcement in the announcements section.
So many activities, and lots of opportunity to take part.
God bless, Brian
