Fair Days 2018
Summer continues to move right along. It’s hard for me to believe that it’s already time for the McLean County Fair this week! I know that the teachers and students in the congregation are looking ahead and thinking it’s only 3 or 4 weeks until school starts! I hope we have a few more days to be able to enjoy the nice weather.
Next week we’ll be continuing our series through Genesis as we continue our look at the life of Joseph. It’s been an encouraging series for me to work on as we reflect on God’s faithfulness despite the difficult situations that Joseph finds himself in.
Also next week Hannah Sombeck will be taking a few minutes to talk about the ministry she’ll be doing at the University of Kentucky this school year. I think you’ll be interested to hear how God has used here and there will be an opportunity to hear about how you can support her ministry.
Looking further down the road, the Danvers Days worship service will be help on August 19th. We’ll be meeting with in Danvers at the park on that day. Also, Kick-off Sunday will be September 9th. On that Sunday, our Sunday School program will resume and we will go back to our normal schedule of Sunday School at 9am and our Worship Service at 10:10am.
I hope you’ve been thinking about who you want to invite to our services this Fall! I’ve been praying that God will put us into contact with the people who most need to be drawn closer to him. Will you join me in praying for our congregation to continue to have significant impact in this community and beyond?
I love you all and hope to see you Sunday!
God bless,
Brian
