The Long View
Yesterday, we finished the short series, “The Long View,” in our worships service. It’s hopefully a reminder that it’s important to continue to look forward and to fix our eyes on where Jesus is leading. It’s easy to be distracted by immediate circumstances that arise, but maintaining an eternal perspective is crucial. Thanks for those who’ve taken time to give me your thoughts on both our challenges at NDMC and also suggestions for moving forward. I hope we all continue to dialogue about how to prepare NDMC for the future that God has for us. As I said yesterday, we must discern this way together.
It was a joy to gather for our Potluck yesterday as well. A good number of people stayed and were able to enjoy the food and time together as well. Thanks to those who volunteered in the kitchen!
Speaking of volunteers, we have some great people who are willing to do so much. We are so thankful for the work they do. We are in need of more volunteers to step forward and to be willing to use their energy and gifts to continue the work of the church. Spend some time in thought and prayer about how you can contribute.
Josanne and I will be gone the next couple of Sundays. Paul Walles will be filling him. Please make him feel welcome again! I appreciate so much his willingness to step in for these two Sundays and allowing Josanne and I some time off.
We’ll be praying for you, and we’ll see you soon!
God bless,
Brian
