I always really enjoy it when we get together with the other congregations in our area to worship together. It’s a good thing for us to connect and to demonstrate our unity in Christ to our community. Yesterday was an absolutely gorgeous day for a worship service in the park. The sun was shining, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky, and the temperature and humidity were about perfect. It was good to see so many who came out. It was nice to finally meet Rev. Elissa Bailey, the interim pastor of First Presbyterian, in person. She was also able to introduce us to her family.
The Forged For Christ Youth Group did a great job with breakfast as well. I thought they did a fabulous job of adapting to the change in schedule this year. Lots of people stuck around and enjoyed a meal together around the picnic tables.
Make sure you check out the announcements to see the upcoming schedule and the plans for Fall Kickoff Sunday. We will be changing our service times beginning September 12th and resuming our Sunday School.
Continue to encourage and pray for one another. In the past few weeks it’s been driven home to me again how many times we are unaware of what those around us may be dealing with in silence. We need more love and support in this world.
God bless,
Brian
